LV LV

Love the colors

This is over due I know! But to all the Canadians out there: Happy Thanksgiving! okay, now back to the fashion..

This season at LV I felt like I was in an Alice and Wonderland world. Everything was in candy colors and buttons were exaggerated, with plenty of dropped waists. The whole collection's elements were something reminiscent of what you may see in a little girls room. The workmanship however was far from it, there was a lotta organza, cut-outs, and a dash of feathers. I feel like with this collection Jacobs was feeling a little nostalgic, it is a woman's solution to reconnected with her youth in grown-up world.

There Jacobs said to style.com that he "wanted something gentle and kind" And that's exactly what he did. Jacobs makes a statement with every season, he manages to craft his own look that is different season to season. Before it was "lets go back to the 1950s" and now its lets go back to your childhood. The colors looked like candy, the shoes looked like various pieces of twizllers (in a good way- whatever that means).

Overall, I loved it! Jacobs made the show lighthearted, fresh, cute, and ever so high fashion. It was weird, the theatrics that were absent from the Galliano runway seemed to make it here. The drama was there, the thinking outside the box was also there. There is no doubt Jacobs would do great at Dior but I just love what he's done for LV!
