Kelly Rowland VMA look

My absolute favorite of the night has to go to Ms.Rowland. You know when you are looking for that look that is just "different and edgy" but it usually just ends up all wrong? Well, this is how to get the dark, unique, sexy look all right.
The singer complemented the dress with minimal jewels, black Louboutins, and a sleek easy hair do.

Do you love the look?

O lala Selena Gomez

One of the fashion hits last night, Selena Gomez went over to her dark side. The singer donned a Julien Macdonald creation. I LOVED this look.

VMAs: Beyonce Bump

CONGRATS Beyonce! That is going to be one fashionable baby bump!

Designer Spotlight: Frank Tell

Frank Tell was named a designer to watch by "The Cut" blog back in 2008, and hes living up to the prediction for sure. Bottom line this Spanish-native designer is well known for his geometric shapes and tight silhouettes. Good news ladies, geometric shapes married with his color blocking = very slimming garments.

I for one was in love with his Spring 2011 show it as a mix of tailored and loose knits, grunge and glam. Another favorite, and I am sure a great seller was Spring '10, check it out. Only a mater of days till we see what he's come up with this season! Here are a few of my favorite looks from the designer.

H&M fall 2011

Okay, so no one is less excited for it getting cold as I am but this collection makes it a little better. The pieces all look so easy to wear yet not mundane.
A touch of 70s in the looks as well with the wide pants, and loose-fit. The color palette is warm cute and autumn-y. Honestly, especially with their choice of Karlie Kloss as the model for this lookbook, the word that comes to mind for this is cute.

Hair Twist

Was watching re-runs of the Kardashians last night so got inspired by the way their hair is always different. I don't know about all of you but I find myself always donning the same do. Same basic hair down with a few wavy curls here and there.

I tried out adding a little twist today which is great for when you cant stand your bangs or when your hair is not at tip-top condition. The little trick with this one is making sure the twist starts from the very top. Keep it tight and secure with a few bobby pins. Took me about 8 minutes.

What are some of your favorite casual looks?

No Show for Mizrahi!

Isaac Mizrahi announced that he will not be showing in NYC this season. The designer is opting for a lookbook instead of a physical show. He says that the idea of a lookbook sounds "more modern", however may return to the runways next season.

I cant help but wonder real reason behind the swap? Mizrahi usually puts on crazy over the top shows, such as his Feb show earlier this year. The runway was decked with a whole range of colors, not to mention complete with colored poodles and layers of cake!

We hope you don't stay away for too long Isaac!

Zac Posen returns!

Zac Posen is returning to show in NYC. For the past two seasons Posen had moved his show to Paris, to differentiate it from his secondary line, Z Spoke. His reviews in Paris were less than favorable, critics did not receive him as well as hoped.

Posen told WWD that "Paris is Wonderful but it just feels like the right time to show in New York". His move to Paris was also due to the fact that Posen felt his clothes were more respected in Europe. Will this mean that he will loose some stature upon returning? I for one am happy to see Posen come back across the pond and am excited to see his creations this season!

Freida Pinto covers FLARE

The gorgeous actress who made her splash onto Hollywood in the box-ofice hit, Slumdog Millionaire covers the October issue of the Canadian mag, FLARE. The stunning Freida Pinto wears a bold red Giambattista Valli dress with a matching lip.

In the spread Freida talks about her fame, style, and of course long time love boyfriend Dev Patel. Stating that "No one but him totally understands what I've been through".

Will you be picking up the mag?
