Chanel Air

There was the iceberg and now there is the plane. Karl Lagerfeld stayed true to his never failing to disappoint mantra with a couture show in an airplane. Fitting, no? Couture wearing fashanistas are all about the globe trotting these days. Its no longer just for royalty stuck in their palaces, even the royalty have become globe-trotters.

Blue, blue and more blue. From the carpet of the show, to the song playing on the runway and oh, all over the garments. Lagerfeld brought us a futuristic collection, taking themes you would find common in the Jetsons and make them fashion relevant without being overkill. There was a definite salute to the 20s flapper in some of the looks. The strong theme? The play on man/woman, or boy/girl fashion. The dropped waists, slashed pockets and laissez-faire attitude in the clothing.
