Currently Lusting Over

Chrisitan Louboutin Sweet Charity Python Bag

Miu Miu Brogues

Vogue Italia

I really like this Vogue Italia cover! I am really sick of the north American covers they are not really particularly artistic anymore. I know putting celebs on the cover was a revelation when Anna Wintour started it but I mean can't we go back to the art?

Hermes Menswear

Velvet, Crocodile, leather, and fur. Nichanian went all over and pulled plenty of textures into the collection. My favorite looks? the double breasted jacket (so happy that's back), surprisingly the velvet is really growing on me. Yes, yes I know its weird but hey Ryan Gosling did it!
All in all it was a really somber collection with a few great pieces.

HIGHLIGHT: Louis Vuitton Men's

This is designer Kim Jones' second collection for the house and for me, the best collection of the season. The designer dubbed his collection, "a Tale of Two Cities", those being two fashion capitals, Tokyo and Paris! The house seemed to be inspired by Japanese art  at several different levels, this translated into the inclusion of some kimonos. The kimonos were placed under the suit jackets, mimicking a v-neck sweater with a twist. Talk about original? It looked great!

Jones put a modern day twist that was understated on a classic elegant man. The designer really focused on the fundamental of the house: luxury. There were materials from all over silks from the far east, kangaroo fur, crocodile.. you name it. This collection was just amazing start to finish. From the great cable knit sweaters, the modern twist on the suit, the scarves, the fur, the outerwear, it all just worked!

A a great sophomore work by Kim Jones, can't wait to see the next one!
